Have Your Own Separate Realtor To Get the Best DEAL!!
If you are thinking of entering into a home purchase contract, a key thing to keep in mind is NOT to use the Realtor who is Listing the property if you want the best deal. (This is the name on the sign in front of the property, and also on the MLS advertisements.) That Listing Agent is first and foremost, tied into the seller's best interests. What he/she knows about the property and what price the seller will accept puts a Buyer at an extreme disadvantage if you have him/her write your buyer's side of the contract too. Buyers should use their own separate agent who would be truly unencumbered, and neutral, from the seller's wishes. A Buyer's Agent will 98% of the time get a much better price and better concessions.
